Sqeaky Rear End!

Have 2.5" coils on the rear with a track bar relocation bracket. When driving slow, you can hear the rear end squeaking back and forth. What causes this and is there any way to stop it? Is this normal?

do you have the lil thin plastic pads in between the springs and the spring buckets?

Wow, not real sure. Is it there on a stock jeep or is it something I was suppose to add when I installed the new springs?

they are there on a stock jeep, but can break and become rotted. They are nothing more that thin 1/8" plastic "plates" that keep metal from metal contact on the bottom, and rubber on the top. mainly the metal spring and the netal spring buckets would give you metal on metal squeak with out them.

Is the track bar bracket tight also?

Thanks for the response. I will need to check if I have those plates. That would make total sense. As far as the relocation bracket, yes I just checked about a month ago if it was tight, but now you have me double guessing myself!!

there's a bit of wiggle in the TJ rear end by nature. the most metal on metal contact points are between the springs and the buckets, everything else is bushings.

And also, yous shocks could be a bit on the wore side. hows the sound when you bounce the bumper up and down? even getting some one to bounce up and down while you listen could pin point it better.

I'm going for sway bor end links. I had similar issue on mine, later turned into a rattle. Get under there and shake on the end links and sway bar.

Thanks guys, I will try both of your suggestions. The shocks are only a few weeks old.
