st8te 6 auto tranny?

Guys,

Sorry but I have no clue what that is. Not too familiar with autos but I thought the autos were 42rle (it's a 2003). He said it's chipped?

I messaged someone about a TJ for sale that was an old mail carrier (RHD). It's cheap, so I figured I'd take a look; or at least get pics.

Side note: has anyone on here ever gotten an old mail carrier? I'm figuring everything is the same with the obvious exceptions? It's a sport, not an X like some. I figure it's worth a couple grand if it goes down the road straight right?

My first thought on RHD is "hmmm different...sweet" but if you've had one please chime in.

I don't know about the tranny, but I'm pretty sure all mail carrier Jeeps have a rear Dana 44!

A Google search turned nothing up for a st8te transmission, I would bet someone got that model wrong.

Yeh as soon as he responded I did the same thing; with the same results. I've got no clue. I'm hesitant to ask him but I think it could be a shops name? Again, no clue.

Sounds to me like the jeep has a straight 6 and an auto trans, maybe just a spelling error.
