Stainless Steel Tail Pipe

Where can I get a stainless steel tail pipe, I saw a new one online somewhere for like $96.00, but can't find it again. It was S.S. and mandrel bent. Thanks

IMO you only need S.S. if you live near the ocean or someplace where they use salt on the roads. For the most part your exhaust gets hot enough to take care of any moisture that would cause rust.

You want the entire length, or just the tip? I know you can get tips at Summitracing.com probably the entire length as well. Summit is great, fast shipping and they don't gouge you with shipping prices.

I bought stainless steel pipe at a Mienikie muffler shop and had them bend it to my specs.

Should I just have a muffler shop do it? Would it be around 100 bucks for S.S.

If you are looking for just the pipe with bends, I think I paid 60.00 for 7foot piece with 2 45 degree bends.

I thought all OEM pipes were SS.

Check an independent/performance type exhaust shop. We have a guy here who does all our exhaust work, and he's wonderful and reasonable.

Atthe...I don't think factory is stainless, given the condition of mine when I picked up my '01 last spring....

OEM usually uses alumnized steel I think...higher end vehicles might (probably) use stainless, but most vehicles I see on the roads are alumnized.

Borla makes a nice stainless steel tail pipe/exhaust/cat back kit that I have on my car

Or at least I have hte Borla exhaust without the whole stainless steel part going on.

I took a wire brush in a drill to the end of my pipe. Pretty shiny
