Starting issue

Hello all, I did a search and couldn't find the exact problem I have. It is something with the clutch so I'm trying to figure out which part I need to swap out to get it fixed. 2001 wrangler sport btw. I changed the starter already because I thought that was the problem. The jeep starts just fine except it seems if I have the clutch in all the way to the floor sometimes it won't start at all. If I let the clutch out just a hair it will start just fine. I have disconnected that switch down by the clutch and used a jumper wire and I was able to start it without having the clutch depressed. after I re connectd everything back to normal it worked fine for a while. So I'm thinking driving around and hitting bumps on the road is knocking something loose maybe. Seems like an easy fix but I dont want to keep throwing parts at as it has already cost me $180 for that starter I changed out. Any help would be apreciated. thanks.

The switch is adjustable. Should screw in and out to adjust distance to the pedal stopper.

It sounds like the clutch switch that you bypassed is going bad or needs to be adjusted to where it's making contact when the clutch pedal is fully depressed.

Well I looked at the clutch area inside the tub and near the electrical area, pretty much where the clutch is and didn't find an area to adjust. Anybody with pics??? Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you look at the switch itself? Should have threads on it.
