steering box install?

i just installed a PCS power steering box in my 05 LJ. i had broke of the rod that connects to the pitman arm on my last one. anyways after installing everything and getting the steering wheel alligned. my air bag light on my dash turned on. took about 5 min of driving before it turned on. everything else seems to be working as it should. so before i rip it all apart again. i thought i would see if you guys have any ideas or quick fixes. thanx

When you had the box out I hope no one spun the steering wheel, if so it probably is the clock spring in the steering column.

Does your horn work? If not, it definitely is the clock spring.

don't they recommend hooking your seatbelt through the steering wheel and buckling it so the wheel doesn't turn? of course this information would have been more useful before the repair. good luck and keep us informed. i hate not having closure.

That is what I did when I changed out my steering box. It worked.

Yeah you toasted the clock spring.

It's not that bad of a replacement. BUT!!!! Follow the installation directions to a tee or you'll be buying another one.
