Step Bumpers Suggestions ???

Just picked up our 2002 Wrangler on Sunday....
6cyl 5spd maroon

After talking it over with my wife.... we've decided a set of steps would be beneficial... More for her and our girls than me...

What do you all suggest?
Whatever it is... we want black

I'm thinking Tube Step Bumpers....

This will work better if you start a new thread for your additional question. There may be knowledgeable people who don't know this thread contains a question about A/C and won't click on a step bar thread. Just a heads up.

As for your original question.. 4wd.com, Quadratec.com both have good quality products. I bought mine used from a used Jeep dealer. I'd check craig's list and even the sale threads on here. I know I found a set for 108.00 on JC Whitney when I was looking.

Try to get a good deal on shipping (or better yet, free). On a heavy item that'll be the deal breaker..

Get rock sliders with a step, rather than nerf bars. They are functional in other ways and look way cooler. There's a guy on here that makes them and they are on special right now I think they are just over 200 shipped. BCC is the name I think, he has a store on ebay. If I had the scratch right now, I'd be buying a set for mine, my kids sure could use em, and they protect when wheeling rather than getting torn off.

That's cool.. I just saw that you were relatively new and wanted to make sure you got some help. If the guys and gals on here see a help question they are usually really quick and knowledgeable.

I even take my laptop out in the garage while I'm working on my Jeep in case I run into a problem. It's like having your own Jeep tech support.

The factory sidesteps seem to work well. I picked up a set on Craigslist for $40. A little hammerite and armorall had them looking brand spanking new. And they are black!

They work great as just steps but if you do any off roading you will soon find out that you wasted $40 and whatever time it took to isstall/remove them.
