Question Stinger Front Bumper?

Looking for a stinger front bumper for my 04 LJ but I cant make a decision on which one to get. SmittyBilt or the OR-FAB stinger? has anyone used either one or does anyone else know of any other brands that are out there that are good and a reasonable price?

JcrOffroad, Inc.: Jeep CJ YJ TJ Wrangler Front Bumpers

We have a couple options for stinger bumpers. Plus a military discount judging by your username. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Thank you for showing me that website, but question. Did the poison spyder stinger come painted or raw metal?

I have been wondering how it would hold up in an accident since it's not tied into an actual solid bumper. If you don't mind, what exactly happened to it? Just kind of curious.

It came in raw steel. Most of their products do. I just picked up some self etching primer and textured black spray paint and did a few coats. I can touch it up whenever I need to. Cost about $15 in total for the paint & primer.

Have a look at these guys, they are making bumpers and trying to grow a new business, I bought a grill gaurd from them and am very happy with it. Trail Tubes

The gaurd is from them, the stinger is Smitty and the cowling bar is custom. Soon the grill gaurd will be tied in to the tube fenders and the stinger.

How does the grill guard mount to the jeep?

If you have an Anti-rock you can make mounting plates to bolt it to the swaybar mounting holes, I use the stock swaybar with disconnects so I welded mine to the swaybar bushing brackets. It has plenty of room to fit it to your Jeep, I cut more than 5" per side when I notched it for the swaybar mounts. In the next few weeks tie it in to the fenders and the stinger. I had some tie-in bars mocked up but they are too large diameter, so I'll re-do them with a little smaller size to match the grill guard itself.
