i have these stock rims from a 2003 sport, and i have these old 31x10.5x15 bfg all terrains that i want to mount on them. I dont have any experience on stock rims and backspacing of any kind so im gonna need help on this. Do u think i can mount these tires on these rims without rubbing? The rims are 15 inches and i guess 8 inches wide. Thanks in advance, sean
you may not experience any rubbing but if you do it shoudln't be much and you can always do the steering stop mod which should fix the rubbing. its pretty simple and there is a write up on 4x4xplor.
I ran 31's on stock rims for a while with no problems, It just looks a little narrow. Stock rims have a little too much backspacing. 3.75" backspacing works well on a 15x8 rim when you decide to upgrade.
on a factory 15x8(Gambler) they should be fine, but will stick out a little better with aftermarket ones.
