oops. and you thought it was just a big pot hole that you ran over... (just kidding)

On a real note, where was it parked? If there is a bank, gas station, apartment building or other business within site range they may have video. Narrow it down as to date and time as close as you can then stop and see. If you have a police report you can go a long ways with asking people to hand over images of someone hitting up your gear.

just an idea anyways...

If you want some sort of security for your Jeep, you can get Hunters spy camera. They look like small boulders, detect motion and take a picture. And are programmable. Hunters use them when they bait, they can see what is eating the food. I've thought about getting on myself. Price range is cheap to expensive. Find'em at Hunting stores like Cabella's. Might even come in handy when you go somewhere and leave the Jeep sitting all by itself.

thieves use breaker bars too

but, for permanent things I've seen people drill out the screw holes or perpously round off the nuts with a grinder.

I'm not sure I understand why insurance would deny you coverage on the Jeep because of what you carry on your wife's car.

PL&PD are what's required by law, not comprehensive so you have me a bit confused.

Regardless of what you carry on another vehicle, the vehicle in question is the Jeep. Now, if you don't have full coverage on the Jeep, this is as good a reason as you can come up with to put full coverage on it. You just never know when some rock is going to get frisky and flip your Jeep like a gymnast, or someone will decide to take it for a joy ride, never to be seen again.

Would you mind if I asked which insurance company you're with?

red loctite usually needs to be heated or air tooled off. Im not sure a breaker bar would do much good.

but yeah, if a prepared thief wants something bad enough theyre going to figure out a way to take it.
