Storage for seat backs for $13

I purchased two seat back packs on ebay that hang on the back of driver and passenger seat for $13 each for my TJ. They have Jeep logo on front and Wrangler on the back nicely embroidered. They zip out for use as backpacks. I have vinyl seat covers. I think they would fit better without the seat covers.

Can't beat that price . . . I've been looking at the Smittybilt GEAR seat covers that have all the little bags and what not, but they are like $100 . . . this is a good find . . . thanks for posting!!! Unfortunately, your link doesn't seem to be active anymore...do you have any info on the seller that you could provide? BTW...how was their service, shipping time, etc?

Try this link. The seller was local to me so I contacted him by email on ebay and he sent me his phone number and I can PM it to you if needed. I picked up at his home. He worked for the company that made these and went out of biz so he bought up the inventory. The backpacks are decent quality and I would not hesitate to reccommend these if you are interested. My only reservation is that they may be kind of inviting to those Jeep thieves out there that like to slash our windows. A friend of mine had his entire soft top stolen.

I've had good luck with RR black seat protectors part number 13235.01. They were $65 per pair. Sorry, I don't have a pic from the front but they fit well.

Hmmm...I like those too! Can you buy them separately or just as a pair?

On the Ebay ones . . . looking at the link, it looks like the top part unzips and it becomes and actual back pack, which is kinda cool, but I'd be looking for something to stay on the seat for the most part . . . does it strap on to the seat and hold nicely or does it move around when off road?

Those look nice man, nice find.

Quick question; what seat covers are those? I could have sworn you had leather seats until I read the post.

I have these. They look cooler than they aCtually are. They come with more packs than you would ever need. They don't fasten as well as I'd like them to. If you live in a cold weather climate they get rediculously cold in the winter. It's s if they repell heat. Wanna buy mine?

Loo - those GEAR seat covers still for sale?
If no, disregard.

If yes,
What color?
What condition?
What is the problem with the fit?

I'm looking at buying a pair of these for the front seats.

Thanks.

Schmo - did you ever buy these covers? I want the storage and like the look, but like you, I've been somewhat derailed by the RR covers shown earlier in this thread. Hard to beat the price for TWO compared to $99 for one Smittybilt. But I still like the durable look of the Smitty G.E.A.R.'s.

No I never pulled the trigger . . . bought a dirt bike and have been dumping all my time and money into it lately. The RR ones do look nice too . . . I didn't really want a pair and was just planning to put one of the Smitty GEARs on the passenger seat.

Well seeing that they are made by Smittybilt . . . that's really not hard to believe . . . they can't seem to get holes drilled to line up on the rest of their parts for them to fit properly, why would I think their seat covers would be any different!

I got the G.E.A.R. Seat covers and they are worth every penny. The one thing about them is that the bottom part that attaches to the seat was tricky to put on. Other then that they are great.

Good to get input from you guys on the Smittybilt GEAR covers. I have a 2004 Sport which has the tall seat backs, so I'm wondering if the "fit" problems are associated with that (?) or are they just not made right for a good fit. The polyester material is supposed to be good stuff, UV stable and all, with vinyl backing that makes it water repellant. The RR covers are cotton. They would breathe better but would they keep their shape on the seat over time. Cotton can stretch and also shrink.
