Storage Mods : What mods have you done to your Jeep to carry more stuff

We all know our Jeeps are not that big. I want to know what mods have you done to your Jeep to carry more stuff. I have done a few things to mine. I have 2 ammo cans mounted to the front bumper. Please include photos. I hope this can be a great thread.

We bought an LJ with a 24" "trunk". Ok it's not a mod. I still stuff as much stuff under the seats and in crevices to keep the trunk clear for the important stuff.

I bought another car. I have the instatrunk installed but that's about it. I do like the ammo can mod. Very cool.

I do my best to carry less, not more. I carry a lot of tools, lubricants, spare parts, etc. but I am always going through my collection to see what is redundant or not needed.

One thing abouty your front storage... it's cool but I believe those storage boxes will seriously start getting in the way & running into uneven terrain as you take your Jeep on more & more offroad trails.

I found this tool chest at Home Depot on sale for $50 and bolted it in from the inside using the factory seat mounting points and bolts.

I still thought there would be more people trying storage mods. If we go off road we need certain things to ensure we get back out. basic set of tools, winch gear, fuel supply, jumper cables, ETC... I dont want to add more weight than necessary but would hate to get stuck because I left the one thing I need back at the house.

I have a little surfboard carrier on top that I use to carry my longboards and whatever else fits in there, I also have seat covers with plenty of pockets on both the front and back seats. Lastly, instead of buying a trunk protecter I built my own out of black wood

Instatrunk here.
Been looking at those over the wheel well storage boxes, or maybe bolting some ammo cans on like this...

For those with a hard top have you guys thought about modifying and mounting one or two of those hitch racks to your hard top?

I'm trying to think about how to best do this. Some kind of rubber between the top and rack to keep noise down. Maybe use silicone after I drill the holes o keep it water tight.

I put a cargo net behind the front seat hanging from the roll bar.
I put a storage box in the back, rugged ridge net kit for the doors, glove box, storage tray above the radio, net next to the shifter. Rugged Ridge sunglass storage. Storage bag up on the roll bar.

And this

Since I never have rear passengers anyway, I permanently removed my rear seat. In its place, I installed the Tuffy security storage box. Besides giving me lots of lockable storage space (which will also contain cargo in the event of a rollover), the load-bearing lid gave me a place to mount my 35" spare tire:

(I removed the spare tire hanger from the tailgate and mounted it to the storage lid.)

Dude that is cool. I will be adding that to the build list.

One thing I was looking for is where do you carry a jerry can if you do carry one. I have from time to time have to carry fuel and water so I am looking to mount 2 jerry cans somewhere.

Spare Tire Carrier Rack

Went to HF and bought a trailer hitch rack.

Don't have a welder so I used a few bolts. Had my old stock rear bumper that I cut up to use for the risers.

Came out pretty sturdy. I did a couple chin ups on it to test it out. Should carry a good load. Still need to paint it with some bedliner.
