stuck brake drums

need to change my rear brake shoes, jacked her up last night, pulled the wheels off and the drum won,t come off, Its loose and wobbles around but won,t come over the shoe, they must be groved. can I reach in the ajuster hole with someting and hold the arm off the star wheel and back it off with something.I have the ajuster wrench but whats a good way to hold the arm out so I can turn the star wheel backwards?

Yepper, back the shoes off, all so, sometimes a couple of whacks with a BFH will knock a lot of crap loose so the Drum will come off.

Find something that's very thin like a small screwdriver or a welding rod that will fit in the hole along with the adjusting tool & use it to hold the lever out of the way.

You are not the first.

Here is an old trick: Put the wheels back on. Grab a hold of the tires and rock everything back an forth. This should do the trick. A big hammer will cause you big problems.

Parking brake is completely off and its cable has slack in it right?
When you have a choice, buy American.

If the adjusters are stuck and the brake spoon doesn't help (I've been here), get a second pair of hands. Have the second pair of hands hold the adjuster lever off of the star, then take a small flat head screwdriver and small mallet and slightly hammer it in the direction to get it going
