stupid beeping

k so I know there are a few products to keep the door seem like it is closed so the damn beeper won't beep in the cab when the door is off and the stereo is on. other than pulling the buzzer what can I use to shut it off when I have the doors off. it looks like there might be some threading to the piece the button retracts into but not sure if I could get a bolt or anything to stick to that. any suggestions?

X2 on the fuse...(check your user manual)... You'll need to open the glove box all the way (empty it and unfasten the stap so it goes all the way open). Use a small needle nose pliers and your looking for a little red fuse in location # 4...pull it out. This will shut off the circuit for the dome light when you take your doors off.

Something to consider,,,, Your courtesy bell will not alarm if you leave your lights when you shut off the vehicle. You will need to remember to turn them off manually.

That is a slick idea.... Plus - you don't have to remember to turn your lights off.

I replaced the fuse with a wire harness I made-up. It's basically a remote mounted toggle switch with an inline fuse, so I can open the circuit without having to empty the glove box and pull the fuse every time I want to go doorless. I've seen the store-bought version of the remote toggle switch as well as the spring clips on Quadratec's website.

The main reason I didn't do the spring clip thing is I knew that sooner or later I'd either lose them or forget to remove one and crush it in the door jamb.
