First, please forgive me for I am new at this whole jeep thing. I did have my first jeep dream last night though and it was GLORIOUS!! Any way, stupid questions of the day...What is the name and what size tool do I need to get the brackets off by the windshield so I can attach the mirrors to the jeep itself, not the doors. Question two, can the stock mirrors fit on the body or do I need a bracket and or mirror? How widely available are they (the mirrors and/or the brackets) would it be possible to get some before saturday? Thanks in advance for putting up with a newb.
Scout, thanks for your help. Another guy at my firehouse recommended quadratec, and well, I made the order for a set of torx bits and mirror relocators. That looks like an all around jeep failsafe. Any opinions on that?
( i take that back, 31 x 10.5......but it depends, my TJ had 31.10.5's w/ No Lift but they are Small 31's Futura sumthing or other crap AT tires.....I think I would have had trouble if I had swapped on my 31' BFG MT's before the Body Lift)

The mirror movers are a great addition but watch for that passenger side mirror it can be hard to see. Also be careful with the torx screws. I had one strip on me and ended up having to drill it out.

1: Only put the driver side mirror mover on and leave the passenger side on the door. When you relocate the mirrors your blind spots get a lot bigger and the tend to vibrate more than usual. Also, as some have mentioned, the passenger side gets hard to see. By only putting on the driver side you get around most of these problems and when the doors are off you still have two out of the three. Check the legality in your state first, but in MICH this isn't a problem.
2: When you go to pull the bolts out, start by first putting just the bit in with no wrench on it and giving it a few good hits with a hammer. This will help to loosen and realign the floating nut pocket on the back as well as the locktite.
Good luck, congrats on the jeep!

And to add to the stupid questions, whats the biggest tire size that I can get without having to get a lift?
Right now I have 32x11.5 Buckshot Mudders on mine and its stock height. It may rub offroad but I dont do a whole lotta driving off road since its not hunting season quite yet. Heres a Pic. Today I have a 2" Budget Boost and a 1" Body Lift coming in to give me a little extra room (Alotta the guys on here seem to recommend at least the BB with 32's
