Summit Racing radiator

I put a summit racing radiator in last December 09. Some anti freeze will leak out from where the plastic bottom is crimped into the radiator. Now, it only leaks every so often. I've checked all the hoses, anti freeze reservoir, cap, etc. Should I try to use some pliers and re-crimp where the plastic bottom mates to the rest of the radiator. Or maybe I should just in touch with Summit Racing.

A leak between the aluminum core & where the plastic bottom & top is crimped to it is impossible to fix permanently. My dealership tried fixing my leaky OE radiator 12-13 years ago when the TJ was still under warranty but eventually gave up. The ended up buying me a new aftermarket radiator since Jeep was backordered on replacement radiators for nearly a month due to leaky radiators being a widespread problem for early TJs.

I would tell Summit that it's leaking and that it can't be repaired/resealed where it is crimped together and get a replacement under warranty.

Remember that having a different opinion doesn't also require one to be a jerk when expressing it.

When you have a choice, buy American.
