I have always heard a witch doctor shaking beads and chanting would have about the same effect on a TJ

Maybe so. But id love to get a programmer that changes the shift points. I hate how mine shifts. 2nd shift is just way to quick.

everyone with a 42RLE wants that, but it doesn't exist for the TJ. if you have a 32RH, it's hydraulically controlled, so it's about the valve body work.

Both of these companies are owned by MSD Ignitions and yes I know the engineers that have created the Trail Jammer kit and even the staff at Superchips as both Edge Products and Superchips use to be my accounts. The Trail Jammer kit does help some, but even in most extreme circumstances the power increase is minimal. After speaking with the guys who designed it I would not spend the money on it as you would never get your return from it. They originally tried to just adjust the computer for performance gains and could not get enough gains out of it to justify the project so that is when they added the larger throttle body. The two together gave them enough to justify selling it on the market. There are a lot more functions and value if you own a JK though, but for a TJ it just isn't worth it.
