Swap over questions

I have a few questions about swapping stuff from my Mrs old cherokee.
It's a 2002 grand cherokee with a dana 30/35 and 4.0l, and I want to get the most out of it before I flog what I don't need/want for scrap.
Question is; what, if anything, can I swap out straight off (no mods/f'ing about) on my 97 TJ?

I was looking at swapping out the axle shafts both front and rear (mine aren't in best fettle) swapping drum for disc on the rear, maybe keep the motor and bite the bullet with regards swapping my manual for 4.0 auto.....

I just need to know whether it's worth it, or whether I should cut my losses and flog the cherokee to the local scrappers......

Tie rod upgrade
I hear seats with some moding
Any engine part it you got the i6
Fuses
Front springs for lift although I hear they ride shitty
Maybe control arms for spares
Light bulbs
A lot of part interchange so I'd grab things that may be wore out and replace or grab spares
Battery might alternator starter those things
Brake component might if they are in decent shape

Also drum to disc is useless no better brake performance. Only plus is its a little easier to maintain. Fronts do 80-90% of braking.

Well mud is a high probability.... but overall I'd prefer disc rear anyway.
What I wanted to do is swap out all the axle shafts and change discs/calipers as the TJ ones are pretty shot and I can't afford black magic ones right now as the frame fix just hit me for $400.....

I would be robbing that Cherokee of most everything under the hood...be nice to have all those "extra" parts....thinking more about it maybe just pull the whole thing (motor) as you mentioned in your post.....with "a little modification" a lot of those parts will swap...would also check the wheels/ bolt pattern to have an extra set of wheels...if you got room to "store stuff"...would almost just keep the whole thing maybe sell off the doors windshield etc rear hatch steering column..probably make more and be able to keep a lot of what you would want...unless you need the quick cash from the scrap yard.

Around here a lot of guys with families wheel the Cherokees and always dent doors knocking off handles cracking windshields etc.....check around with some of the other Jeep clubs...might find someone needing some parts........just a thought

Wow well first off I hope she is ok, and second I would keep the motor and trans, do the disc brake conversion, take the steering tie rods off the zj and put it on ur tj, its a great upgrade, I'm not sure if the shafts are the same or not never checked into it but if they are I would keep them as spares, and that's all I can think of, but like already said u could prolly make more parting it out on forums/craigslist than taking it to the scrapper, most places around were I live at least won't give u hardly anything for a car, like 300-500 tops

Bump on her head and a scratch on her hand...... quite remarkable really.
She called me up on the phone and said: "Darling, I've put the car in the ditch".
Erm, slightly! she jumped a 2ft armco, took out a 40ft light pole and rolled both end on end and side to side. Just to make sure she didn't leave any of the bodywork untouched, I'm sure of it...... Jeep saved her life though.

I got her one, but she just freaked out and wasn't comfortable in it. So she's currently running a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, just until funds allow a 13/14 rubi
