Swapping Center Console

Hey has anyone swapped a center console from an XJ into a TJ ?

I just got a full sized center console from a 99 XJ.

I have an extra pair of speakers that will fit in this too.

Well, I am swapping in seats [ OEM] so the small center console is history and I am going to MAKE this fit! We'll see. I was hoping someone else had some tips from experience.

Look at your floor pan contour. I think the XJ was a straight hump front to rear. TJ's have some step in there.

The real problem is the brake lever is offset. That requires a hack job and marrying the small TJ to the large XJ. The box itself is flimsy and will need some support. I mocked it up once and it's alright. I paid less than $20 for it, so no big deal. Photos in another thread.
