Sway Bar Disconnect

So all I have been researching and all that I have heard is that there is no reason that you shouldn't have your sway bar disconnected when you are off roading. Are there any downsides to having your sway bar disconnected while 4x4?

Thanks

No unless you have a $300 dollar anti rock. Disconnecting offers better performance over stock. (My set up is discos currently) when I can upgrade I'll get an anti rock. On a budget you can make discos yourself.

How much would some standard disconnects run? All the ones I google seem to come with the actual arm as well as the pins. Can I just get the Pin somewhere?
