Sway Bar Issues

ok has anyone had this happen to thier tj, im relatively new to jeeps and im kinda stumped how this happened.

Fairly common. The OEM ball/socket design is a weak point. You can get a replacement at just about any parts store for around 35.00.

You could also go to 4WD shops and see if they have any lying around. A lot of people will upgrade to quick disconnects or Currie's Antirock (highly recommended), and so there may be a few OEM links available for free, else for a cheap price.
