Sway Bar Link

Just a quick question, are longer drop links required when a suspension lift is carried out. I have 2.5" OME lift and I have gone through 2 sets of drop links in 2 years... Is this normal?

Thanks

From what I gather, the sway bar is suppose to sit level or slightly up a little but not down any
