My question is this: Is there another source for a good SYE kit out there besides JB? My Jeep will remain mostly stock. No lift, no large tires. It is fine for the driving and minimal wheeling I do. I would like a kit that would allow me to install a longer rear drive shaft.
How about just a standard SYE (not super short) The super short is really nice if you have a big lift, but even with a standard SYE you'l significantly lengthen your driveshaft. Another thing to consider, in your "99", with a super short SYE you will have to make speedometer corrections by adding an electronic recalibrator, ($100+)if you use the standard SYE, it's simply a matter of changing the speedo gear (just like the stock one).
