SYE--Which One???

Ok, so I will be ordering a new 3.5" lift for my 05 LJ, and I will also be putting in an SYE and a new drive line. I would like suggestions and commentary on SYE's and drivelines, thanks.

I have used the following SYEs on my rigs: Advance Adapters, JB Conversions, and Tera Flex super short. I have also used the following driveshafts: Tom Woods, Adam's, and Tatton's.

All of the SYEs worked fine and I have no complaints. Tom Woods was definitely the best driveshaft. Over a five year time period I never serviced the Tom Woods driveshaft even once and never had any issues. Both of my Tatton's driveshafts had angry sparrows within 12 months due to issues with the centering ball and had to be replaced even though regular maintenance was performed.

Cole, I was considering Adams as they are local (70 miles) from me, did you have a good experience with Adams?

Is a Rubicon? If it is you do not need one!

I sold my rig with the Adam's driveshaft about 100 miles after install. I had no issues during that short time period. I am going to order a new driveshaft today to replace the worn out Tatton's and opted to go with Tom Woods again.

I have an Advance Adapters SYE with a Carolina DS. I have to no complaints from this setup at all. Carolina DS had great prices and great customer service.

Wow, gsxrman14, it looks like I must have been looking at your ride when I decided what to do with mine. It is an '05 LJ and I have decided to go with the Metalcloak 3.5" lift (alum. uppers), sye and Tom Woods DL (they were very helpful and seem to be the overwhelming choice), ordered Novak shifter and UCF pan, set to order the Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers, just put on the 33x12.5x15 Duratracs.

Question for all of you. In what order should the following be put on my jeep?

Metalcloak 3.5" Lift
Novak Cable Shifter
UCF Skid Plate
SYE
New Driveline

Thanks for the Help,

Slim
