T/c skid plate bolts?

My TJ came with a t/c lowering kit and I want to remove it to see if I can do without. Can I just get a shorter bolt or is there some special bolt I need?

When I took my lowering spacers out, I was able to re-use the same bolts.
But it will depend on how much thread the bolts have on them - luckily, mine were threaded (almost) all the way to the head.

I made the mistake of using a rattle gun on mine - think that caused some of the 'nutserts' in the chassis to spin.

They are metric grade 8.8 I think. If they are like mine then they had a 2 inch threadless shank and I had to get new bolts. If your bolts were full thread then you could reuse them.
