From what I understand, they are real good. They are even water proof up to 30 feet. I would not want to test that, but that is what they advertise. Our local Jeep store sells them, and they really look great, even have remote control, on some of their models. I also belief they are from down under...........Australia.

They are an Australian company with the motors made in China. But before you run away... a Chinese manufactured motor does not mean it is junk. The determination of whether it is junk comes from the specifications that the client specifies. This lack of understanding has been the biggest hinderance to a fine winch. We know this from working with them.

We intend to do a winch test during Easter Jeep Safari 07 of all major manufacturers winches that is unlike anything previously done. Our expectation is that the T-max will be in the running with Warn and Ramsey. However, only testing will tell.

I'd like to see that test. The best test for my type of Jeeping (trailguide) is can it run for a long time without failing. As in helping everybody up the rock climb. Also, in my experience, a fast reel in is not desireable. Just my 2 cents.

The test will be very thorough. What we have planned to do with these winches, and the equipment we have aquired to test them has not been done before. Unfortunately the test is still months away since the testing ground will be Easter Jeep Safari 07.

I too prefer a slower pull rate but can't deny that at times a faster pull is better. I haven't figured our why someone hasn't built a variable speed winch.
