Tailgate Problems...

Hey my tailgate either won't unlock or the mechanism in the handle itself is busted. Bottom line is I can't open my tailgate.

Has anyone ever had a problem with this or know of any solutions? If so where can I get the parts? It is getting hard lifting my 90 pound dog over the tailgate every time we go somewhere...And luckily he is only 90 pounds...

You should be able to take off the cover from the inside of the Jeep and access the lock mechanism. Once you are that far, you'll be able to see what is keeping the tailgate from opening. Parts can be as simple as replacing a clip that can be found at a local parts store, or replacing the lock tumbler...

Hope this helps out some...
