If you have a Trackbar drop bracket then the drop arm would work. If you don't have a trackbar drop bracket, then you should stick with the stock unit as the drop arm will give you bumpsteer. This is why I'm changing mine back to stock.

Sorry to hijack but by linkage what do you mean? Because just a quick look.under the jeep yesterday i noticed the ujoint coming front the steering wheel is at an angle connecting to the other side of it. Figured it was just because of my lift and no worries. Should i worry? Haha

The drag link and the trackbar should be parallel. This is measured mounting point to mounting point since the trackbar itself is not straight.



This is mine with a drop pitman arm. Notice that the lines are not parallel.

blue = trackbar
red = drag link

Ok cool and the steering ujoint is ok to be connected at an angle?

Yes, that joint is there to accommodate tilt steering wheels, etc. As long as it doesn't bind or is loose it should be fine.

Not necessarily loose, but when I hit a bump there is a little bounce left or right. It's not horrible. My plan is to add the currie correct link at some point. I'm in French valley. I think we're close. Andy

Until we know what, if anything is wrong, it's best to diagnose and then replace. Gets real expensive if you do it any other way. A few minutes with you, me, the rig, and a dry steering test will tell us 99% of what we need to know. I'm in Quail Valley behind and bordering Canyon Lake.

There is a change in the shape of the face plate that is surrounded by the hole in the center bezel. IIRC, you can solve it by swapping to the later bezel but I don't recall if that messes up the lower switch area and ash tray mount. I do know that the early bezel has a single screw behind the ash tray and the later ones don't.
