Talk me out of selling tomorrow...

Extremely frustrated...most of it is probably girlfriend related, but as of today i threw three codes:

P0202
P0123
P0201

All of which point to an injector being bad and something to do with the TPS

TPS is brand new as of about 2 months ago

Right now as soon as i press the clutch in the revs drop super fast and when i put it in neutral to coast to a stop or something like that, revs drop to around 250, sometimes bounce to 750, and sometimes it just dies.

Any and all help is appreciated...super frustrated to the point i might trade it in on something else tomorrow.

Instead of selling it, have you brought it to a proper jeep mechanic yet?

Jeepwayoflife is right, just bring it to the nearest Chrysler/Jeep dealership and see what they find.

agree with above, have you took the steps to try to repair it? if not then cant get mad at the jeep, mechanical stuff breaks and wears out. and how is this girlfriend related? maybe i missed something there. unless your trading for another jeep i think your crazy for ditching it so quickly

Brand new TPS doesn't mean much, especially if it was an aftermarket one. They seem to function improperly all the time. And the injector isn't too bad of a deal. Pretty easy fix, even if you change all 6, it's only $200 tops if you do it yourself. But, if you're this frustrated, then the above suggestions of taking it to a professional are probably the best ideas.

my tj was throwing a check light and running rough. I got 4 hole bosh injectors all six for $110 shipped and it is a very easy install. no more light and runs great. Also idles smoother but i also cleaned the throttle butterfly and body as it was all gunked up
. My tundra ran like crap too to the point of almost stalling out, i cleaned the butterfly and throttlebody on it and it was mint after that. very easy

Never, EVER take things out on a beloved vehicle when things like love life are in the tank. Keep in mind, the Jeep always loves you and WANTS to take you everywhere. She doesn't ask for much, gas, oil change, some TLC from time to time (like injector and TPS), etc. You know when shes running right, the world is good. GF pissed you off? Drive around with the top off, maybe hit a trail and really get away. Girls will always drive you crazy and they are more expensive than fixing your mechanical mistress. Trust me. Been married over 20 years and when I need to clear my head, I jump into my twin turbo and hit some speed, or maybe drop the top on the vette, listen to the old small block and cruise and as soon as I get the damned title, I can add hitting the trails in the Jeep!
Keep your chin up and remember the Jeep will outlast most relationships!

Good Luck,
Butch

fair enough...and no i havent gone to the jeep dealer.

I'm legit broke...theres 40 bucks left in my account and am spending 35 of that on dog food today lol. Paid in two weeks...

but anyway, i'll go through it today or tomorrow...i'll pick up a new tps since they're only like 10 bucks, probably pick up a new iac since those are also only 10 bucks, and i know one of the injectors is bad so i'll just pick up a set and do that as a weekend project or something.

the idle makes me so mad in the morning....

Only because this thread is titled "talk me out of" I will add a thought.

If you are down to $40 in your account and are planning on spending $35 of it on your dog, maybe you should think of getting rid of your dog.

I've got two dogs...one of which, my main girl, has been there longer than the jeep...that wouldnt happen lol

The main reason i'm broke is because i just got back from Germany and the Czech Republic...did a 2 week travel around there.

loosen your t.p.s. and start the jeep. keep it in the jeep though.
twist the t.p.s. one way or another and see if that helps your idle.
I cleaned my throttle plate.
took off my t.p.s. to do it and when I put it back on, my idle was around 2000.
I loosened it and twisted it clockwise and it went back to normal. I cleared the code at the local d.i.y. parts store with their scan tool and my jeep has run normal since.
they are sensitive little parts.
they can be defective from the factory. have them replace it for free if it really is defective.
also, make sure the sensor is put in correctly. they are spring loaded.
