temp not rising

1998 TJ 2.5L, AX-5 tranny. Ever since I bought it it has ran 210 even. Yesterday afternoon I killed it while I did some work on food plots. When I got back in and drove home I noticed the temp did not get above 150-160 mark. It has a new radiator, new water pump, new thermostat, and new clutch fan. I checked it at my lunch break and it still wouldnt climb any higher. It goes in this week to get flushed since the previous owner replaced all the parts and didnt flush it, looks like a ton of rust in the radiator. Think the flush will help or something else?

Sounds like it has air in the system, assuming the coolant sensor is good. The sensor is at the neck where the thermostat is and if there is an air pocket there, the sensor will not read the coolant temp correctly.

The thermostat could also be suick open. Just because its new doesn't mean it's not faulty.

Mine was the same way, warming up very slow and never reaching 180. I replaced the thermostat, and now it warms up much faster, and sits just below 210.
