think I need to see a doctor

As I have NEVER had a case of spring fever so bad since I bought a Jeep in the middle of winter!! A little bit of sunshine and I forget that it's still only 30 if I am lucky up here in PA.

Having said that, I've read the owners manual, searched here, and other places on line - can someone give me the real "best way" to fold down the damn top?

Put it out in the sunshine when it's about 60-70 degrees.

Unclip the front windshield latches.

Pull the top tabs out of the door surrounds, both sides.

Roll up and secure or remove the rear window.

Remove the side windows.

Pull the rear corner tabs out of the tub.

From the front, begin to lift the top up and over the cage. As it approaches the "trunk" begin to stuff the rear corners into the trunk area. You can roll them around the top as it comes down to make it small and clean looking.

The top bows will rest on the tub behind the roll bar mounts with most of the top in the trunk area.

Seriously, it's much harder when it's cold outside.

Thanks - see I've been getting different opinions on when the front clips should be un done.

The tabs above the doors, and on the back pieces, I am assuming are just heavy rubber that slips into a "groove" per say - right?

Yes or no. It depends on if you use it and if you can get the top to fold down neatly enough (for you) on top of it.

Went topless yesterday 74 degrees. Cool with fog today 51 degrees. Struggled to get the top and windows back on. It was stiff and tight!

Here's a pic of ours with the boot on and we have the add-a-trunk option in place. Works fine. (assuming you were thinking you'd have to remove it to allow space for the top to tuck)

But, it is a bit of work in the Winter.

The boot is Bestop, I believe. It really does clean things up back there, but, the kids complain that it takes up elbow room.....
