Hey everyone, Im new here am not a Jeep owner yet, but am thinking of purchasing this one right here.
Its a 2000 Sahara with 100k miles. The interior is in pretty good condition and the dealer is asking $10,400. I looked it up on KBB and it seems this is actually below a fair price but I just wanted to get your expert opinion here. I live in Austin, TX and these seem to be in somewhat high of a demand. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks guys and hope to be contributing more soon after the purchase.
What axles, gears, lockers, and lift? To me it looks like someone stuffed 33s on a 2" lift. I paid less for my 06 sport in better condition with fewer miles
I paid that for my '06 model X with 72,000 miles (in 2012). Purchased from a private owner. The Sahara's a nicer trim package than mine, but mine is years newer with fewer miles.
If it was a Sahara, it would have had the stock flare extensions/plastic rocker claddings under the doors. Looks like they took all that off...Sahara D35 came with 3.73's, I believe. My 98' Sahara did anyway...Is the tub lined? Did you look under the carpet to check for rust in the tub? Get underneath and start poking the frame with a screwdriver checking for rust? I'm not a fan of that exterior liner job! Previous posters are right: find an excuse and bail on this one! There are way too many nicer one's out there to settle on this one.....good luck!
