this is what procrastination can look like

So about 4 months ago I found that I needed a cam synchronizer gear. I never installed it cause I was not comfortable with bringing engine to TDC due to risk of timing issues. So I bought the part with the plan of taking it to my mechanic some Saturday to have him do the swap out.

Again this was 4 months ago. So on Wednesday I am coming home when CIL pops on with cam position sensor and coil errors. Great I thought. So I take a look and the attached pic is what I find.

My mechanic was able to do it but I had to drop, er have my neighbor tow me, to the shop and didn't get my Jeep back until Saturday morning.

What have you procrastinated that ended up biting you in the ass?

Brakes. I was younger, bought the brakes and didnt feel like putting them on in the heat. Came to a stop sign and it wouldnt stop. Hard to tell in the pic, but it had a sweet camo paint job on it.

The worst part about it was my brakes failed at a 4 way stop, the 04 dodge ram that hit me also ran the stop sign! He drove home though.

It looks like this to me

The top is a snapped np231 output shaft when my rear u joint finally went out.. I knew it needed to be replaced ordered the parts and put it off a few weeks and found out the hard way what can happen when a drive shaft comes loose..
