Thoughts on a Sunrider Top...

Hey all,
I've got an '05 Sport and the original top is starting to get a bit worse for wear. I'm looking to replace it and am thinking of getting the Sunrider Top. My jeep is a DD and I don't live far from work, I was thinking the Sunrider would help me see a bit more sunlight as it can be a bit of a pain to take the whole top down for a 5 minute ride. Does anyone have any experience with this style top?

I just replaced my factory top on my 01 with a Trektop NX solely for the purpose of having the sunrider feature... Like you, I wanted the ease of seeing some sky without having to drop the top entirely for my short ride home from work in the evening... I've only used the sunrider once since installing it last week, but it was awesome to be able to open her up, drive home and button her back up in short order (all by myself, which is a feat for me) and not have to decide to suffer through keeping the top up, or wrestle it back on once I got home....

I haven't used the sunrider feature on my trektop nx yet. Do you have to latch it down or just flip it back? I don't think my top came with any velcro straps. Are those sold seperately or not needed for this top? Thanks for your help with this!

BesTop Sunrider

I live in a very changeable climate area and I am so glad I spent the extra money for the sunroof feature. I use it all the time - it is easy to use - and it really opens up the front seat area to the world.

I bought my Jeep Unlimited with the hardtop, and a week later ordered the factory Sunrider top. The BEST decision I could have made. I use it any time the weather allows. If the temperature drops or it starts to rain, less than
one minute and I'm rolling again.
