"Thump" while turning?

When I turn left, I hear and feel a "thump." When I straighten out, nothing happens. However, when I turn right, there's another "thump." Again, when I straighten out, nothing happens.

So the "thump" only happens when I make an opposite turn from when the "thump" happens prior. It doesn't happen if I make two right turns in a row or two left turns in a row.

When I check under the front end, the thump sounds muffled. No parts look like they're hitting each other. The last thing I did under the front end was a Currie adjustable track bar, but that was during the middle of last year.

Ideas?

I second this. My axle side track bar bolt was replaced by PO and I haven't gotten around to finding a proper replacement since it's just a bolt and nut but every now and then it'll work it's way loose and I get the same bump when turning even before DW starts to kick in bad.

Sway bar end links may be bad. Grab one and shake it. Press down on the bumper and see if there's any play between sway bar and end link. Mine was doing the same thing, clunk when turning. The ball socket stretched out and the ball pops in and out. Easy fix.
By the way I learned that if you use the old nut to suck the end link in to the sway bar then change it out with the new nut there is no hassle with the link spinning while trying to tighten it. Brilliant! Haha. ;)

If it only happens once on each turn, I'd say it's likely one of the track bar ends is slightly loose. Easy to diagnose if you have someone turn the steering wheel lock to lock while you watch what's happening from in front when it makes the noise. You should be able to see and/or feel it.
