Tilt Steering Wheel

aaaaaaarrrrrggggghghh. I cannot keep the steering wheel tilt lever up in my 06 unlimited....How do I fix it???? help please, I have taken it apart a few times but dont know how to make it stay up. I dont want to break anything

I also have this problem on my 06 LJ,...... I would also like to see if anyone has the "fix" for this.

I don't think there is an easy fix for this guys, that's why so many jeeps with the new style column have this problem.

Mine works fine on my 06LJ, but maybe I have it all the way down. I would squirt some gorilla glue in there and get it where I want it before it hardens up. Don't get that stuff anywhere on the wires, or steering linkage!!

Duct tape?? haha my 06 will do it every once in a while but its not too bad.

...and here I though it was just me in my '06 LJ that had this problem.

I've gotten in the habit of making sure the lever is fully engaged at some point during my drive during day. That's helped greatly the minimize the occurrences of "OMFG! TEH STEERING WHEELZ IS MOVINGS!"

'06 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
