Time to put on/take off a bikini top? 04 Jeep

Man...got whipped by the sun today, so I'm thinking, maybe I will get a bikini/safari top.....leaning safari as to cover front and back. But I do like the top off in the evenings and late summer. I have an 04 Wrangler and would need a channel bar. Once thats installed how quick are these bikini/safari tops able to be put on and off? I don't want to mess with the whole soft top until late fall/winter. Thanks for any advice, thoughts and instruction.
Gary...rookie.

I not sure if anyone here has the spiderweb top. But you have to zip tie it on.

Bestop is a good product for a safari top.

My wife can slip out of her bikini top in seconds. The only problem is getting her to do it more often.

Video?

The Spiderweb looks ok. Keeps sun off but lets air through. No windshield channel bar needed. They're out of Orlando I believe...just found it browsing.

Oh...and I wish mine would do it more often as well....

Let's try this again. I hate it when a post disappears. I do have one. They connect using bungy cords with a ball. My top stays on all the time. This is the first and only thing my wife has ever approved that I bought for the Jeep. The only zip tie is in the front on the footman loop in the center of the windshield. It rides a little lower than a bikini top since it attaches to the roll bar. However there is no need to remove it when forced to put the top back up. If you run a cab cover at night and it rains, this gives extra support under the "puddle". As far as how it works, you get the open air feeling with a lot less heat from the sun. I believe Jack (1blkjp) tried one sent to him by the owners. I have used mine as a sun block behind the front seat when I was parked with the rear of the jeep facing the afternoon sun. They are very versatile. This is my second summer with it and it looks just like when I got it. Well there is one bird Sh!t spot

Try what again? I said not sure if anyone has in here...

I remember the fella on here with the install video selling them. I remember the ball bungie cords also. I just didn't remember how many zip ties.

I have the Bestop bikini safari. Get it man. You can even put the doors on with it in case it rains or something.

I have the SW1 and and after much groveling, became a tester for SpiderWeb for the SW3. I love them both. The footman loop zip tie has been replaced with a small bungie ball so no more zip ties. Also all the grommets are now black instead of the 1st gen brass ones.

I leave mine on all the time. The SW3 is a 3 part top with a section for the front like a bikini another section the covers the back all the way down behind the tailgate and then a Windjammer section for behind the front seat. The windjammer reduces the wind that comes from the back. IMHO these tops are worth the money. Check out the reviews on his site.SpiderWeb™ ShadeTop™ for Jeep Wranglers not available at Quadratech, Bestop, Four-wheel Drive Parts, or JC Whitney

Thanks for all the help guys. One more question for the Spider Web owners....Whats the difference in the SW1 and SW1-JK-2D? They both seem similar and are priced the same. This product looks pretty good, giving you airflow and open feeling on top and not letting the Florida sun turn your head into chipolte or a baked potato.
The site has no phone #, but I think I can order one online. Guess there are no distributors.

I just got a Spiderweb SW1 a couple of weeks ago.... LOVE IT! It has bungies for everything, black grommets, looks great, fast delivery, and a great price. You do have to order online, but they will email you promptly if you have questions. It took me about 3 minutes to put it on the first time. They are great for shade, without loosing all the open air feel you get riding with the top down. I like all the different ways you can configure the SW1 on a TJ too. My kids like shade, when I don't always want it. Hubby likes that his hair doesn't blow as much.

Highly recommend you try one.

I have the bestop. I like it because you just hook it into the door surrounds like the factory top and it helps with rain run off. I also added a deck cover to keep the back dry in case of rain while at work.

SW1 is for TJ's SW1-JK-2D is for a JK 2dr. I used to have a phone number around here somewhere. I'll see if I can find it. The nice thing about these tops it that they do let some sun in without broiling you.

That's funny...I was at the pool the other day with the wife, and I asked her to raise her bikini top and show me her stuff....when she obviously said "hell no", I told her fine, that's ok, " I'll go look at my own in the mirror!!!!"

The safari top can be put on complete in under 10 minutes. It will still be windy in the jeep, but the top will just channel the wind in a different direction.
Although I like to have my doors off and top off, I really think the jeep looks better with the doors on, (i have full/hard doors) and the top off. Obviously, doors off means alot more room to move around, and the wind feels pretty good traveling up your shorts. HA
