Timing Chain 1999 Wrangler

How much would it cost for a mechanic to replace the timing chain?

If I had the time I would do it myself!

Why do you want it replaced? They usually last the life of the engine.

I'm guessing 4 hours of labor at probably $75/hour, if indeed it needs changing. The radiator usually comes out for that job which is the reason for much of that time. As DevilDogDoc said, they are normally good until the engine needs a major engine overhaul.
