tire carrier?

Can i fit a 33" tire on the stock tire carrier? I'm going to build a bumper with a tire carrier but I would like to put my 33" spare on while I'm waiting to get the bumper done. WILL IT FIT?

I have a 32 on a stock tire carrier and it ONLY JUST fits under the brake light. I would think some modding would be required if it was any bigger

I have a 33 on my rear tail gate. But the tire only has half the tread left. It fit good (with some modification) with the stock bumber. Now I have a smitty src rear bumber and now it rubs when I close the tail gate.

You will be pushing the weight limit of the stock carrier for 33s. It might hold till you get a new carrier but it might rip off on ur way to the gas station, that depends on ur luck... I wouldn't risk it and go through all the trouble.
If you insist on having ur new 33 on the stock tire carrier now then i gues it depends on the width of the tire. You might need to remove the 3rd light.

Like CP said, depends on the tread left. I have a near bald 33" spare on the back and the ProComp isn't even a true 33" when new. I also have a 1" BL and my wheels have a 3.75 BS, which all combined, fits just right without any modification to brake light, bumpers, etc.

04 Sahara, with a lift, some stuff, and a few things, on some 33's, blah, blah, blah.
A perpetual work in progress. Too much to list, not nearly enough to matter.
My RigRater Score: 387RRv1.0 with a BOA of 18.92 (and just how exactly is this going to help me over that big arse rock?)
