Tire Carrier

I have an OR FAB tire carrier on my 03 Rubicon and recently was rear ended. The carrier actually tore my corner panel and now the insurance co is paying for repairs. I do NOT want the OR FAB put back on my Jeep. Anyone here who has one will know why. I'm looking for a different route so if anyone has a decent carrier they have been using please let me know. I need to be able to haul fuel cans also along with my HiLift. Thank all.

PS anyone want to buy an OR FAB carrier with a Warn bumper? It isn't damaged at all and it's a 8.5 out of a 10 as far as shape.

May want to check out this thread..

I just finished rattle canning and installing it this weekend. I couldnt be happier. In addition since he custom makes them to order you can mave him make it to your own taste/needs. For example I had him add CB antenae mount as well as a 2" receiver at the top.

My new custom rear bumper from Thedirtworx

I just bought the LoD expedition bumper/tire carrier and couldn't be happier. It is built very well and has the option for gas cans and I think Hilift. It also has the option of a trail rack too. It is very solid! No rattles at all.!

Rock Hard 4x4 Parts - Jeep

You have to check out the tire carrier made by Rock Hard 4x4. I love their stuff. After going to a Off Road Expo and meeting the owner of the company who was sitting on top of the open carrier to prove the strength, I bought a bumper. The price is fair and the quality is top notch and bullet proof.

What is it you don't like about the Or fab? It's the cage type that mounts to the body and can carry 2 gas cans right?
I may be interested in it depending on price.

I want to know the same thing. I have been looking at both the or fab bumper and the treks bumper. both are the same style that mount to the body so if there is somethig wrong with them or lacking in any department it would be good to know. if it has to do with the tub being to weak to carry the weight I plan on running rear corner armor to help out with that.

Here is a link to his seller page..... He has a few generic listings for them but you can tell him what you want. (mine was a custom job). Only issue is since they are custom to order they take same time to build
