tire clearance on 99 TJ

hello all, i have a 99 RSD TJ ,planning on getting a 3 in suspension lift this spring, but need to get new tires now, Can i clear 31's without rubbing? i hate to buy a new set of 30s that are gonna look goofy once i put the lift on

I heard u can go 33's in a 3 inch with no rubbing. That's what im gonna have soon.

Should be fine..if it were me I'd probably find a cheapie used pair until I got the lift on, then spend real money on the 33s

I've got 31s on my 98 TJ with no lifts. No rubbing.

It should be ok but you can adjust your steering stops if it does.

I put a one inch back spacer on mine , 98 31/10.5 no lift, it did rub on hard turns, now just bearly rubbs on back stock flares, soon to be replaced with flatties.
