Tire question v.Selling old tires

Hey guys,

Well i've finished my lift/tires/rims...Now i'm left with four stock rims/tires. Tires still have oh...60% tread left on them and the rims are in good shape. So my question is...What did you guys do with your old ones? Did you save them? Get to sell them? if so how much and how did you sell them?

Thanks.

I sold my 5 stock tires (4 had about 50% tread and the spare had never hit the ground) and Ravine rims to a guy for $250. Couldn't see keeping them around, taking up space in the garage.

I've bought tires that way, I acquired 5 brand new never hit the ground GY wrangler 30x9.50's all mounted on never used canyons as well as 3 sets of 5 hole pretty new gamblers which I love the look of. I look for people who have gone up in size as I plan on staying in the LT235 and 30 inch range on all my jeeps so for me its a bargain. That said 235's are the smallest so if you have stock 225's or 215's you may have problems selling them.
Also, some keep them for 'inspection' tires if their 33's or so stick out past the flares, some states won't pass a vehicle with that going on.

Tripp, I'd give you $5.00 to take that spare off the back of your jeep.

i tried to keep the business in town/next town over...but a few mom and pop shops and even a very profitable independent tire shop in the next town. Tommorrow i think i may have to start calling elsewheres.

I have a set of Wrangler GSA's if you're interested. They have less than 5K miles on them.... $100 for the 4 and a gumby spare.

Too small, the Cherokees, both the three XJ's and the ZJ are on LT235's now and the TJ's are all on 30x9.50's. There were a nice set of MT's in 31 that I was drooling over that were on mint wide TJ canyons, the ZJ canyons are an inch narrower, luckily he sold them so I was spared making a decision.
Sorry.

lol i have 4 wrangler tires in my closet 30x9.5s mounted on the stock rims like the spare on my sig if any one wants them, i'll give them to you for cheap.. The rear ones have less than 5k miles on there.. same with the front however because of alignment issues, the front ones are worn out a bit more on the outside than the inside.. still plenty of thread left though.
