Tire Size question/options

At the risk of getting flamed...

I have a totally stock '06 Wrangler Unlimited with stock 15" rims. The tires are 30/9.5/15

I'm having a tough time finding economical tires.

What equivalent tires can I put on these rims?

My buddy has some 16" rims laying around. Does it make sense to upgrade to a bigger rim if it gives me more tire options?

Thanks for the help.

Stick with your 15's.. and by economical I take it you just want a nice street tire and will not be going offroad at all?

Yep. Quiet and long lasting works for me.

The best I can figure out is that a 235/75/15 is compatible with a LT 30/9.5/15.

Is this correct?

Thanks

Nope.. 235/75/15's are typically 29x9/15 or very close to that.. I got the tire just for you and the cost is right to I think.. General*Grabber AT 2 . I'd stick to the 30x9.5/15's.. They just look right on a stock TJ/LJ. 31's are nice as well but you don't really need anything more then stock tire size from what your telling me

The AT2's are a mid grade AT that handles everything you can run into on the road extremely well and are very quite. they also last a good amount of time. They won't be really good at anything offroad but the street is there home and they are happy there..

Bought my neighbors 16" rims and put 245/75/16's on them. I'm very happy with the ride.

Any market for selling my 15" rims?

15in rims yes.. however that does not apply to stock rims. 15in aftermarket rims with good back spacing is where it's at if your a YJ, ZJ, XJ, TJ, LJ, owner. If you got the 15x8 alloy rim there and not the 15x7 steel rims you probably could get like 75-100 bucks for the four if your lucky
