Looks great! I like that stripe but I'm not sure I have the patience for that. Good luck with the rest of it.

thanks guys!it was a pain but worth it. It was a lot of putting the red down the touching the lines up with black then back to red and so on until I liked it enough to leave it. I'm not going through that bs with the doors though I'm going to put the red down first then tape it off and spray the black and hope the line it's good. The texture of the doors and dash lets the paint creap under the tape. Well worth it though.

I know I've asked this before, but I'm on the fence between redoing my interior or trying to find agate pieces to replace it with.

You guys that used Fusion, how's it holding up after several months of use?

Mines holding up great! proper prep and lots of paint did the trick for me. I have had to scrub the interior with a magic eraser a few times to clean it and its still holding up. So no complaints here.

X2....Mine still looks pretty good and I have been running a bikini top since I did mine! I think the amount of coats I put on was key....

I did mine last weekend. I pulled both speaker grills, glovebox, center section of the dash and entire locking center console out and painted them with Krylon DUAL paint and primer. The mix with the grey dash and satin black paint looks awesome. Prepped everything with magic eraser and diluted simple green. Paint laid down nice and smooth and seems to be pretty tough so far. Ill post pics soon. And doors stripe is next

I dig the OP's paint scheme, but I think I'm going to have to copy your idea for my rig. It's a little more "subtle," so-to-speak, but still freshens up the interior.

After pulling off my stock flares yesterday, spray painting them, and fighting to get them back on, I'm pretty sure I can handle anything.

Awesome thread!

The only real pita was the cover for the airbag. Definitely a knuckle buster. Even with a ratcheting wrench it still sucked. Just take your time and as always, prep is the key.

Hey all. Planning on theming my 97 tj in blue but wanted to do this. How has it held up for you all? Does it bubble in heat or flake off? Does it get sticky? Thanks!

Blue on a red TJ? Are you thinking kind of a flag theme? Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Good luck.

It took me a minute to understand what you meant. Did you paint the entire console, not just the vents?!

(Sorry, it's kind of hard to tell sometimes.)

I painted the entire dash and center console black. If you look at the second picture, you can see the gray on my door panel. I haven't got around to doing them yet

I haven't seen any bubbling or stickiness either and I'm in Louisiana, the heat gets ridiculous down here.
What I have found though is that if people leave the seat belt hanging by the latch when they get out it can hit the door panel and scratch the paint.

The only other scratch that I have gotten is from a time that I had my keys in my hand and a strong wind blew the door closed on me. The end of the key hit the paint and put a small scratch in it.

The dash panels show no signs of wear at all.

Aah, gotcha. I see it now. That paint made a huge difference.

And the highlights match the decals I was asking you about in the other thread (and didn't realize I was talking to the same person over there). Well done.

As for the reference to the ratcheting wrench, I had the same experience with the fender flares. I got the front driver's side flares off before I saw someone's suggestion about the ratcheting wrench. It saved so much time.

Hey quick question. I have a black jeep with a grey hard top on it now. Wanting to add some color but not too much or anything too bright. Any suggestions?

Stick with the black and gray theme. Do the interior just like Dragonii only use gray instead of red. Would look great and not add any more colors to your theme.

Obviously some of you have failed to read the Forum Rules. Here is a little excerpt that might help.

Respect Each Other: Our underlying philosophy is that we want The Wrangler Forum to be an online reflection of the wheeling community. Treat each other with respect just as you would on the road. Talking smack or challenging others' points of view and opinions is fine as long as you do so in a respectful manner.

Here are some general guidelines that we expect you to follow:
• Do not engage in personal attacks.
• Do not post libelous remarks or directly misleading information.
• Do not post the same discussion topic more than once or in many forums. Please post topics in their proper forums.
• Participants may not post or bump threads to pad post counts. Bumping is posting useless information, posting one-liners or any other action to deliberately keep a thread hot.
• Do not take every opportunity to express your disagreement, incite argument, insult each other, or fan flames. Voice you opinion respectfully and then let it go.• We will not tolerate bigotry in any form, including posts intended to incite expressions of such bigotry from others.
• This is a sport dominated in numbers by men; as such the Forum can easily take on a little too much of a "boys club" tone. We do have a lot of women (members) visiting and posting, we want them to feel welcome at our party. Rule of thumb: if you wouldn't say it to your grandmother you probably shouldn't post it on the Forum either.
• Posts containing vulgar language that are overly explicit or obscene, images or links to websites with adult content/images are not allowed.
• Trolling and/or Cyberstalking are NOT allowed and grounds for account restriction.
• Be mindful of yourself and others. This forum is not a democracy; it is privately owned and we make the rules. If rules are violated we retain the right at our discretion to remove, edit or delete posts and if necessary ban or remove members. Any abuse toward our staff may/will result in immediate suspension of your account. Complaints about moderator decisions may not be made in posts; instead send a private message to a moderator. If a moderator deletes or edits one of your posts and you disagree with the action, contact the moderator concerned. Do not repost deleted material.
• Fair warning; discussions about politics and religion are likely to be closed or removed if they turn into flame fests.

Now I think that about covers everything that has transpired here. If you cannot stay within the guidelines of these rules, DO NOT POST HERE! Otherwise this thread will be closed and removed from the board.

IGGEE custom seat covers are some of the best covers I could find, paste that into the search and you will find alot of threads on them. They make a black cover with gray insides that looks great. theres a few pics of that setup in this thread http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/igge...ew-172784.html towards the end.

The grab bar is a 10m bolt on each side, its hard to get to, and hard to explain how to get to it. The best way I can describe it is "If you think youre in the right spot to find the bolt, reach higher" They are in there but you have to search for them.

Hey everyone the are 2 10 or 12 mm bolts on the backs of the grab handle, and 2 more behind the vents for the airbag if you follow the seem to either edge the bolts are just behind. And I don't know the paint code for that saddle tan. But it literally just said saddle tan on the can.
