I have been trying to decide how I wanted to do the white on black interior. I think it won't look good if you go crazy with the white. But I think you nailed it. Only thing I am going to do different is the center of my full doors will be white along with the speaker vents on the dash. Nice job though. I got two gallons of monstaliner waiting in the garage for my jeep as well.
I like it when I see others with similar ideas, makes me feel like I got good taste lmao

You indeed have phenomenal taste! Good luck with your project and may it move at a much faster pace than mine

Sealant?

Is there any kind of sealant or overcoat I can use? After a couple days and 6 coats of rustoleum (Krylon didn't have my color) it still seems pretty fragile and I can scratch it easily. Any ideas?

Vince i emailed dragonii the same question but not sure if he got it. I followed his directions to a t and used adhesion promotor and five coats of duplicolor bumper stuff. i let the paint cure inside the house for a week(wife wasnt happy), and it seems good. was just wondering about a clear to seal or scratchproof.

Sorry, if I didn't respond it was not intentional.
I personally different use any clear coat. I'm not sure if it would make it any more durable or not.
It's coming up on a year since I did mine and I can honestly say that I have no real complaints with it. The only place that has scratched is on the passenger door and thats only because the girlfriend can't remember to pull the seat belt in before closing the door. Honestly though, you slam a door shut on a steel buckle and something I going to get scratched.

There are plenty of clear coat brands you can use. There is also a matte style one that will dull down any shine you have.

Edit: (I just deleted a huge rant about using the right products in the first place)

I see people mention the duplicolor to finish match the paint, however I do not see anything for the solar yellow. The sunbeam kylon is quite a bit different. Has anyone matched up the solar yellow? If so, with what?

Vincebradshaw that looks awesome.

Can anyone tell me what might be the best spray match for the OEM spice dash color? I swapped my half doors a while back for full doors and the full doors have the grey interior. It bothers the heck out of me they don't match the spice interior, which I really like. Buying new inserts is roughly $350 on eBay. Thanks!

I've got everything out and I'm going to start painting today. I got the yellow, but I couldn't find black krylon fusion. I went to the automotive section and found rustolium TRIM AND BUMPER paint in black and rustolium PAINT FOR PLASTIC. Anyone know which would be better, or if there's something better than that out there?

Trim and bumper would last longer and be less glossy

Thanks guys. I really want flat black so the dash doesn't have any shine to it. So I think I'm going to hold out for some flat black fusion that I'm gonna order off the internet.

I've been to all 3 walmarts, multiple craft stores, sherwin williams paints, sutherlands, lowes, home depot, and 4 different auto part stores today, and none of them carry flat black krylon fusion. Most of them didn't carry krylon at all and the few that did only carried gloss black and satin black.

Anyone used the satin black? Does it have very much shine to it?

Do you have any images?

Has anyone else tried this one?

I want to redo my interior in the future...other matters to attend to first. Was thinking of redoing the exterior in OD and then painting the interior

You could try plasti-dip. Mine is drying as we speak. I have no idea how it will hold up, but I figured I'd give it a try.

Satin has about 20% sheen, maybe a touch less. I prefer satin over most.

I might give the satin a try since I'd really like to get it done tomorrow as apposed to ordering flat black of the internet... If I don't like it, it won't be a big deal the second time around to paint it again.

If you dont like it just spray some matte finish clear coat over it and that will dull it down.
