This bar can hurt your ears if you really turn it up. No problem ever hearing it. It could be better for some louder bass in the woofers on it (2 woofers, 2 mids, 2 tweeters) if i had an amplifier but it is good enough for me. It is the 6 speaker Upholsterd Bar that i have. Man you've got it goin on. now for some seat covers. I really like the look of those painted bezels. And the sound pods leave a LOT to be desired. If I could Id prefer to get just the empty bar and fill it with my own speakers.

Nevermind just found them easily.

Attachment 258148

But they're a little more pricey than I expected. This is a mod that can wait.

So to clean up the lines I went to Office Depot and bought some 1/4" black tape that is commonly used to create division lines on dry erase boards.
Problem solved.
Have you had any problems with the adhesiveness of the tape? I tried following suit, but my tape is NOT wanting to stick. It will last a few days at most. I'm about ready just to superglue it on there.

Hey guys. New to this got my first jeep in January. Really ready to do some major changes. This all seems interesting but could use some help. What brand and kind of paint do I need to use?Mine is an 04 flame red tj. Has khaki and black interior. Am getting the carpet out and rhino lining the tub and would like to go all black and red. What are my options with the seats without complete reupholstering them? And what are the steps for painting the plastics?

Thanks to all for the info. am bout to do all that I wanted to. Had one question tho, and I'm sure it's a duh but what is the bar connected to the frame in between the roll bar and windshield for? I see all of your pics and I don't see if in any of them. I have taken off all my padding and didn't really like the look of that bar but thought I was necessary.

Finally pulled the trigger and did my interior paint mod...Love how it turned out!!! Looks brand new!!! And, as others have said, the hardest part was simply unscrewing all the dash pieces. Took about 4 hours to get everything out. But totally worth it. Never would have attempted this if not for this thread...Thanks to all who contributed!!

I have the "Patriotic" blue Jeep.... I wouldn't mind doing a piece or two of my interior in this color, but I got the touch up pen from a parts store, and it totally didn't match, it was way too bright. Anyone have a recommendation, or have a patriotic blue one that has done this to their jeep and got a good match?
