Why do you need to remove them?

Oh sorry, read that wrong. Yeah to remove them there are two bolts that go through the floor, two that attack the seat to the slider (they have a spinny thing on them). Once you take those out the seat will fold forward some, there is a little lever thing, pull that and it will expose the back two bolts

Did I remove the seats? Nope, Should I have covered them? Yes, probably a tarp over them or something. But I knew I was going to get covers and I had the top and doors off and the wind was blowing the other way so I didnt waste the time. See... impatient lol

Although I think Dragonii and LilYeller have tasteful interiors; I just can't stand the black. So here is my interior with the "riced-out" look. To each his/her own.

What did you use to paint it? How long has it been painted?

I'm not quite sure which type of paint I used. I just went to Home Depot and bought some pray cans that had "out door patio" on the label. It has been over three years since I did it so I can't be certain what brand it was.

Nice, but I think you got a bit of blue in your yellow there.

I always say that a Jeep should be first and foremost... FUN!

With proper prep and using the right paint it's not really an issue. At least not yet.

Dragonii is correct. Proper prep work and paint made for what our Jeeps are put through and you can't go wrong. Mine has been on there for over three years and has been abused pretty good. The only part on it that is chipping is part of the glove box and that is only because I frequently remove it and throw it on the metal floor so I can get to my FM modulator for my ipod.

Mine has withstood feet, shoes, guns, kids, dogs, mud, wind (when I have the windshield down), drowning in a river, and much more. Still looking good. Just choose your paint carefully and do your prep work and you shouldn't have a problem with it.

Whered you get that shifter knob? How big is it (in relation to a real baseball and to the stock knob)? Do you like how it feels?

I also like all the yellow.

Commando solo: it is a real baseball. I wrote what I did in the new shift knob thread that's up right now. If you want to see a picture of the underside I can put one up for you.

Here ya go. I believe I drilled 3/4 first; filled it with 2 part epoxy (plastic once it hardens) then drilled 9/16 and threaded it on. Fits nice and tight.

I used it once. Looks pretty much the same as the bumper coating. I choose the bumper coating just cause our would make sense for out to be stronger if they intended it for bumpers. But you never know.

I'm trying to decide what to paint red interior wise. I'm stuck between painting the speaker covers, glove box, under steering wheel or the speaker covers and the radio bezel. Both look really good. I'm stuck :/

Read the labels. I think the bumper one says something about being flexible.

Ok well either that DC vinyl/fabric paint isn't as good as fusion, or I didn't prep good enough. I tried taping off the red on the doors as discussed earlier, immediately pulled it off just to see if it would peel and it did! Lol. Oh well, round 2 now! I slightly sanded it and re acetone'd it. See how this does.

you have to get all that red vinyl paint off or it will just keep peeling.
