Do you guys think the height of these tires is too small? I really want to get some good tires to go off-roading. I've already gone mudding and so far they've been pretty good.
I'm going to guess those are 31s with a 17in wheel. That small tire/large wheel style is not the best combination for offroading. When you air down offroad (or even if you dont) you have a much better chance of damaging your wheels compared to the more common 15in wheels.
Also tires for a 17in wheel will also cost significantly more than a tire for a 15in wheel.
Your asking about clearance for off road performance, which is smart. Get rid of the factory skid plate first, replacing it with a high clearance skid.
No wrong answer.
If you already have a 3" lift, you need smaller wheels and bigger tires. Tires with more side wall. Think something like 15 - -16" wheels and 33" tires.
You are already lifted pretty good.
I would get rid of those Hugh hip hop wheels first.
Of course this is just my opinion. Your milage may very.
Honestly, I want to get rid of them and maybe trade them for something better. I have already gone to a shop that specializes on tires and they won't "trade." but, they did have bigger tire sizes.
