Tires

I have a mixed set of 35/12.50s on 10 inch wheels i'm thinking about going with a set of chrome 8 inch wheel with a 36/11.50 but the only thing i have found in that size is a super swamper which i like the looks of and don't mind the road noise (actually i like the roar) but a friend of mine said that i didn't want the swampers because i drive more on the road than off road. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The main thing with the swampers is the noise it drives most people nuts. You can run then on road but they won't preform as well as "road" tires. They do the best in mud. When I was in high school I had a chevy that had 44 inch swampers it handled poorly and howled going down the road. They were great in mudd but sucked at just about anything else. But thats just my experience.

Interco ss tires at 400 a pop roughly wont last long on road. If your going to be mostly doin road driving ur wasting money. I run bfgs on road 99% of the time......the set of ss ssr's i have i only use on needed wheelin trips. They would only last around 20-30k miles if i ran em full time if that.

I have 35/12.50s and im wanting a 35 or 36 but in a narrower tire thats one of the things i liked about the SS, most i have looked at when they get to a 35 they are 12.50s wide. So any input on a good tire in that size would be appreciated. (And i don't mind the roar)

Interco makes a 35x10.5" in a radial super swamper....their ssr. Good tire.....but not cheap.....350 a piece.......i have em. Road noise is minimal too.....but air pressure must be paid attn to if you want em to last on the road.......use 8oz. of equal to keep balance perfect for life of tire.
