What are good replacement wheels and tires for a stock 05 Rubicon.
Would like to go with black wheels....go with 15" or stay with 16" ?
What tires looking for maybe a 31 all terrain bfg????

Complete newb here, just sold my car , and bought an 05 stock rubicon with stock wheels and bald tires, it will be driven mostly on-road , surf and snowboard trips, but it will see off road as often as I can, maybe twice a month. With that said I am looking for an all terrain tire, like a 31" by 11.5"???
And also want to get new wheels and sell the stockers, maybe these, Black Rock Wheels 942581240 - Black Rock Series 942 Type D Steel Wheel in Matte Black for Jeep® Vehicles with 5x4.5 Bolt Pattern - Quadratec

Do I stay with 16" wheels(stock), or go with the 15" ???

Please help, need tires asap, and do not want to mess this up.

P.S. Money IS a thang, and would like to avoid $200.00 tires.

Personally I like BFG'S or BridgeStone Duellers if its a Daily Driver. Both are reasonable in a 30"-31" and both have worked good on all 5 of my Wranglers.Never had a Rubicon though.

BFG KM2's on 15 x 8 rims with 4" backspacing. I'd wager that you could probably stuff 33 x 12.5's under a stock Rubicon without any trouble, but I can't guarantee it. The cheapest way is to put the same size tire back on that you have on there now, maybe just a different brand. That avoids having to buy new rims.

I have 33x12.50 x15 on 04 rubi. You need at least 1 inch BL and 2 inch BB.

Thanks, I want to go with 15" wheels??

I was not thinking about lifting it

Maybe just a 2" BB, and bfg 32's??? Are 32's an oddball size, more expensive?

Dannyk51 do you have a pic

I got a good deal on BFG KM2's, so I went to 15". I would have liked 10.50 instead of 12.50. Sorry, no pic.
