Tires or suspension lift?

I'm debating over what I should get for my jeep. I would like to get a suspension lift so I can get bigger tires but I NEED tires really bad! I have at least 20 percent tread left on my tires. Should I get some really cheap tires in the mean time and get the lift kit then buy bigger tires?

I see two options

1) Get some 31's. Save up and get a good 2.5"-3.5" kit. Then, later down the road when those 31's wear out, get a 1.25" bl and 1" mml and get some good 33's on there.

2) Get some mid grade 31's. Save up for all the necessary mods for a full 4" lift and get lift and tires all at once.

I personally would go with option 1 because it gives you lots of options for future mods as well. And buying cheap tires just isn't something I'd ever do personally.
